Gumdrop Cookie Shop Cookies Review

December 3, 2008

Who doesn’t love cookies? Especially unique ones that not only taste yummy, but are fun too!

Recently we got to try some cookies from the Gumdrop Cookie Shop (Love the name!) and among our goodies we sampled the Van Gogh Gumdrops.

Van Gogh Gumdrops are blank sugar cookies that come with markers that are certified food color edible. This is where the real fun comes in! You can actually draw on your cookies and design them any way you wish with this special edible ink that is tasteless.

What a great idea for birthday party favors, a unique gift idea, or personalized cookies for Santa!

Here my daughter made a practice cookie for Santa (he he!)…among her drawings are a Christmas tree, gingerbread house, and a reindeer-All on one cookie!

Also included with our sampler was one of Gumdrop Cookie Shop’s Super Fudge Brownies. OMG. This was delicious. This brownie melts in your mouth and has a fudge consistency. A truly decedent treat.

Each of Gumdrop Cookie Shop cookies are hand-made to order. Cookies can be personalized with any photo, image, or design. Your possibilities are endless with what they can create. These cookies are also great for wedding, showers, birthdays, and even advertising.

Cookies are also beautifully individually wrapped in cellophane and packaged in a glossy white box with raffia ribbon.

You can order your own Gumdrop Cookie Shop cookies by visiting www.GumdropCookieShop.com

Smuckers Uncrustables Review

October 30, 2008

We recently got the chance to sample Smuckers Uncrustables from BzzAgent.

To be honest, we were already a fan of Smuckers Uncrustables Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwiches…Strawberry being the favorite.

When I got my kit from BzzAgent I noticed there was a flavor we haven’t tried, Peanut Butter & Honey on Wheat Bread.

I am a big fan of wheat bread and always wished that the jelly Uncrustables came in wheat also.

All I can say is YUM! PB & Honey on Wheat is now our new favorite!

Uncrustables sandwiches taste just like a fresh made PB&J sandwich, however they are kept frozen until ready to use.

This is actually an ingenious idea as it not only keeps the product fresher longer in your home, but allows you to take your PB&J’s on the go! The sandwiches will thaw completely within 30 minutes and you can eat anytime within 8-10 hours of defrosting.

My daughter loves the fact that there is no crust (she makes me take it off any sandwich) and I love how good they taste. Even though Uncrustables are meant for kids, you will find yourself eating them.

Currently there are 5 flavors:

-Grape PB&J

-Strawberry PB&J

-PB & Honey on Wheat

-Peanut Butter

-Grilled Cheese

Uncrustables are found in all major grocery stores in the frozen foods section and retail for around $2.80 for a box of 4.

R.W. Knudsen Family Organic Sensible Sippers Review

October 23, 2008

My daughter and I recently got the chance to review R.W. Knudsen Family Organic Sensible Sippers.

Sensible Sippers are organic juice boxes (50% organic juice, 50% water) that have no added sugar, and 40% less calories than regular juice boxes.

We love the little size and as they are slightly smaller than our regular boxes (4.23 oz), perfect for little hands and packable for use on-the-go and in lunch boxes.

My daughter and I both agreed that these juice boxes taste great. We tried both the Apple and Fruit Punch flavors.

I like how she didn’t seem to notice that more than half the sugar was missing vs. our regular brand of juice box. I could definitely tell that there was no sugar added, and actually found the apple juice “refreshing” which I normally do not as it is too sweet.

The packaging is very cute with a different Berenstain Bears scene on each of the flavors- Apple, Banana, Fruit Punch, and Mixed Berry.

This is a juice box you can feel good about giving to your children.

Sensible Sippers are available nationwide at Whole Foods Market.
